Matt 23:11-12
“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
STAY SMALL!
If a servant places himself high upon the king’s thrown, it is likely that he will be displaced to the lowest dungeon.
If a man thinks himself so important that he no longer carries any load, he will eventually find that his followers have turned from him, and he is unable to carry the smallest load, though he carries a heavy title.
If a man proclaims his own goodness, others will proclaim his pride.
If a man believes that a title is all it takes to gain authority, he will be sorely disappointed when a man of weaker title, but stronger character rises above him and takes charge.
If a man seeks recognition for himself, he will turn others away from him. If a Christian seeks recognition for himself, he will turn others away from God.
Only Christ can say, “”And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."
James 4:10
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."
