I refuse to be discouraged.
I refuse to mope and cry.
I'm a child of the King of Kings;
what worries now have I?

I'm covered by His precious blood.
My sins are washed away!
So many reasons to rejoice.
Why - I can even pray!

The clouds of doubt and jealousy
Have no place within my skies.
I gave my heart to Jesus Christ.
Great peace within me lies.

The world may flash its gems,
its jewels,Its artificial love.
but my hope comes from one who lives
And loves me from above.

Oh Rebekah,
Your poetry just keeps getting better! We are covered with his blood!! We are not of this world. The world's jewels are empty and only attractive for the moment, but his word stands firm forever. You encourage me. I need to stop worrying, and start smiling. Love you, Heidi

Bekah, this is really great! I love the first part "I refuse to be discouraged.
I refuse to mope and cry.
I'm a child of the King of Kings;
what worries now have I?" I need to live according to this more often, because it's so true! I have been giving the greatest gift ever given: eternal life. I have no excuse for moving through this earthly life with anything less then endless joy! :) Thx for this poem it really has been an encouragement! :)
